RIYADH, 28 May 2004 — Rey Sillo, Rodel Manalo and Jerry Sazon starred for Kudu team in the Jeraisy Group Inter-Company (Bonafide) Basketball Tournament at the Jeraisy Staff Compound Basketball Court, Exit 7 Riyadh.
Ador Aguinaldo of Kudu hit three consecutive basket but Rodel Realica unleashed two triples to help the Jarir Warriors take control. But coach Orly Casimero game plan saw Rey Sillo, Rodel Manalo, Jerry Sazon, Allain Catalan and Haten Jackson ably supported by Aries Sarmiento, Pandoy Rodejo, Dexter Laudit and Ador Aguinaldo aced the scoring and rebounding spree of Mutaz Maroun and Johnny Castillo's Jarir Warriors spearheaded by Rodel Realica, Owen Del Rosario, Godie Carabido, Omar Tamano and Bobby Cortez as Kudu won 76-65. Jaime "Jun" Olivaz and Rolly ൴" Roma, given limited playing time, boosted Kudu.
The Zahran Company team, though undermanned for three quarters, beat the Actimel (Al-Zafi) boyz of Coach Henry Dumalaon, 78-57. Zahran's Cyruz Ruiz, along with Rommel Mactal, Jojo Samson, Roy Rosellosa, Rodel Mercado, and Nonie Peligrino built up a first half lead despite the presence of Benjie Enriquez and Choie Ordaneza during the last canto. Samer Al-Qaissi, Edward Pingol, Allan Pacaldo, Romeo Tolentino and Henry Dumalaon starred for Al-Zafi.
Earlier, the give and go play of Arabian Homes' Geo Cajote and Alfred Granaderos once again proved effective against the Zahran Company team with Benjie Enriquez and Cyruz Ruiz as their frontliners. Ding Sotelo, Cris Mabasa and Carlo Guerrero had more punch in the first 3 quarters. For Zahran headed by Anton Castaloni, Choie Ordaneza and Bernard Tabieros tried to narrow the lead but Arabian Homes handily won 92-73.
