RIYADH, 5 December 2004 — MBC channel group will launch a new channel, MBC3, for children soon, Al-Jazirah reported.
The channel will feature new educational, cultural and learning programs for children of different ages. One of the programs planned for children is “Barney and Boohabah.” One of the principles behind the new channel is to teach honesty, truth and cooperation to children in an entertaining way.
Muhammad Al-Mulhem, general sales manager for MBC, said that MBC3 would launch this channel in response to the demand from young children.
