JEDDAH, 17 November 2005 — Prince Sultan ibn Fahd president of General Presidency of Youth Welfare, approved the list of probables for the Saudi national team to compete in the Third West Asian Tournament to be held Dec. 1-10 in Doha, Qatar.
The list was recommended for approval by Prince Nawwaf ibn Faisal ibn Fahd, vice-president of Youth Welfare, in consultation with the national team coach Gabriel Calderon.
The 23 probables are as follows: Assaf Algarni, Sulaiman Amedu, Kamel Almusa, Alaia Al-Kuwaikibi and Issa Al-Muhiyani (Al-Wehda); Saeed Al-Harbi, Zaid Al-Muwalad, Hassan Muaath, Ahmad Ateef and Faisal Al-Sultan (Al-Shabab); Mustafa Malaiekah (Al-Ansar); Waleed Jahdali and Mohammad Musaiad (Al-Ahli); Ahmad Al-Bahari and Saíad Al-Aboud (Al-Ittifaq); Abdulatif Al-Ghanam, Khalid Aziz, Ahmad Al-Suwaileh and Mohammad Al-Anbar (Al-Hilal); Bandar Tameem, Muhsen Al-Garni and Saad Al-Harithy (Al-Nasr) and Abo Robu (Al-Ittihad).
Also approved was the list of names of players to enter training camp in Riyadh starting from Nov. 23. The training is for the second international friendly match that will be played Nov. 30 at Prince Faisal ibn Fahd Stadium.
Picked for training are the following: Mabrook Zayed, Reda Takar, Osamah Al-Harbi, Saud Kariri, Manaf Abu Shugair, Mohammad Ameen and Hamad Al-Muntashiri (Ittihad); Naif Algadi, Saheb Al-Abdullah, Tayseer Al-Jasem and Talal Al-Meshaal (Ahli); Abdulaziz Al-Khathran, Mohammad Al-Shalhoub, Nawwaf Al-Temayat and Yasser Al-Qahtani (Hilal).
