JEDDAH, 18 November 2005 — Al-Ahli again missed the full three points with below par performance for the fourth match running in a drab 1-1 draw yesterday against Al-Qadisiya in the Saudi soccer league at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium here.

Ahli were disorganized and unable to control the midfield. As a result, they were goalless after the first half.

Qadisiya’s Muhsin Al-Shihri, was red carded for a hard tackle on an Ahli player.

Despite being down by one man, Qadisiya managed to score the first goal in the 68th minute on a De Silva header. Ahli pushed forward in search of the equalizer that came in the 82nd minute when Rogerio slammed home a nice pass by Al-Jasim inside the penalty box.

Ahli’s Fawzi Al-Shihri was sent off in the 83rd minute after being showed a second yellow card.

Meantime, the Saudi national youth team qualified for the Asian youth cup finals to be held in Singapore early next year. The Saudi under-17 squad made the grade after beating Oman 4-0 in a qualifying match in Muscat.
