RIYADH, 6 December 2005 — Al-Shabab president, Khalid Al-Baltan, signed international Saudi defender Ahmed Al-Bahri to a one-year deal worth SR1 million. Previously with Al-Ittifaq club in Dammam, Bahri is to join Shabab after the end of West Asia Games in Doha.
Chico to Renew Contract
KUALA LUMPUR, 6 December 2005 — Al-Ittihad made a deal with Chico to renew his contract for one more year, after the end of this season. Chico said: “I am very comfortable with Ittihad, I draw my salary regularly without delay.” He added: “The team have reached the World Club Championship finals and become one of best teams in the world, so I don’t think I will leave Ittihad.”

ALEXANDRIA, 6 December 2005 — Prince Abdullah ibn Miteb took the lead in the Arabian Horse Show Jumping League held in Egypt. Prince Abdullah took first place with a faster time in the second round after a tough competition. The winner of this league will qualify for the World Cup finals to be held in Germany next August.
Ahli Letting Rogerio Go
JEDDAH, 6 December 2005 — Al-Ahli said they will terminate the contract of Brazilian striker, Rogerio, following the drop in his level of performance. Rogerio suffered several injures of late and was unable to mount a comeback. In his more than two years with Ahli Rogerio scored a lot of goals that made him the best foreign player to ever wear the green and white jersey of the Jeddah-based club.
