BEIRUT, 7 December 2005 — Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi has filed a lawsuit against Lebanese citizen Khaled Al-Muqalad for sending her obscene and inappropriate messages on her mobile phone. The singer asserted that she was fed up with Khaled’s behavior and decided to take the matter to court. Khaled asserted that the singer was at first replying to all his messages, and that he was shocked when he discovered that she was pressing charges against him.
Haifa’s personal mobile phone number became well known among her fans, leading her to change her number.
