JEDDAH, 11 December 2005 — The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (JCCI) last week released the new silver jubilee edition of Jeddah Commercial Directory. The 798-page directory for 2005-06 contains detailed information on the city-based companies.
“The JCCI is well over halfway to reaching its first century of existence. The city has witnessed many changes, both in terms of infrastructure and companies operating out of and within the city. Throughout this period, the Jeddah Commercial Directory has diligently recorded changes in statistical information of new and existing companies as they have occurred much to the benefit of the commercial sector,” said JCCI Chairman Dr. Ghassan A. Al-Sulaiman.
“With the need to deal with globalization and the increasing emphasis on investment, the city has been involved in them and playing a major role in the economic development of the Kingdom. Consequently, a publication that provides complete and accurate information on the Jeddah business community and its activities is of utmost need, which the directory has been aiming to fulfill over the years,” said JCCI Secretary-General Mohammed Abdullah Al-Sharif. Both Al-Sulaiman and Al-Sharif have penned their foreword that features the directory.
