RIYADH, 20 December 2005 — Prince Sultan ibn Fahd, president of the Youth Welfare Presidency, said yesterday that Ittihad represents all Saudis in the FIFA World Club Championship games. He said that Ittihad represented the Kingdom nicely and their performance was great. FIFA President Joseph Blatter’s comments praising the team’s performance helped to illustrate the advancement of Saudi Arabian football at an international level.
Developing Basketball in Schools
RIYADH, 20 December 2005 — The Saudi Basketball Federation (SBF) wants to apply a new program to take care of young Saudi players and search for new talents in schools. SBF President Prince Talal ibn Badr met with the Education Deputy Minister Mohammed Roaished in the Olympic building in Riyadh to increase the cooperation between the Ministry of Education and the SBF.
Kallon and Chico Will Leave Ittihad
YOKOHAMA, Japan, 20 December 2005 — Ittihad striker Mohammed Kallon will return to Italy’s Inter-Milan after announcing the end of his obligations with Club Ittihad.
