JEDDAH, 22 December 2005 — Official approval has been granted to implement the experimental public transportation project in Jeddah after it has been stalled for four years due to objections from the Ministry of Transportation. Preparations for launching 18 new model buses with regular schedules and specified stations are complete, according to Asharq Al-Awsat. The initial routes will be between two polar stations, one in the north near the airport and the second in the south on Gold Street near Juffali Mosque.
