Prince Sultan OKs Players List
RIYADH, 5 January 2006 — Prince Sultan ibn Fahd, president of the Youth Welfare Presidency, approved the names of the Saudi players enlisted by the new national team coach Marcos Paqueta. The chosen players will join a training camp to play against Finland in a friendly match. The coach axed Reda Takur, while Ahmad Al-Dokhi, Al-Duaie and Ahmad Khalil are back in the team.
Alfonso to Play for Hilal
RIYADH, 5 January 2006 — The Al-Hilal club has finalized a deal with Brazilian striker Alfonso for 250,000 euros. Alfonso will be the fourth new player this season to wear Hilal colors, including Kamatcho, Tarafeer and Jilson.
Ahli to Recruit One More Player
JEDDAH, 5 January 2006 — In its bid to meet the registration deadline for recruiting players, Al-Ahli club is negotiating with a number of players to join the first team, said a club source. Ahli’s Moroccan defender Yousif Rabeh might leave the club due to injury. The club may sign either a Moroccan or a Tunisian.
