RIYADH/JEDDAH, 22 January 2006 — The Indian missions will mark the country’s Republic Day celebrations on Jan. 26 with flag-raising ceremonies and official receptions. In Riyadh, Charge d’Affaires Krishan Kumar will unfurl the flag and read out President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s message at the embassy premises and host an official reception at Riyadh Palace Hotel at 8 p.m. In Jeddah, a similar flag-raising ceremony will be held at the consulate at 8 a.m. Consul General Ausaf Sayeed will host a reception at Jeddah Inter.Continental Hotel at 8 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 28).
