RIYADH, 22 January 2006 — Prince Alwaleed Ibn Talal, chairman of the Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), has been ranked as one of Asia’s 25 Most Powerful. His name has been enlisted in the Fortune Magazine’s 2005 list of Asia’s 25 Most Powerful, according to a press release issued yesterday.
Prince Alwaleed has previously been called the “Arabian Warren Buffet” and the “most powerful investor on earth.” In the Forbes March issue of 2005, its annual list of richest people in the world whose worth is a billion dollars or more, Prince Alwaleed was ranked No 5. The magazine mentioned that the net worth of Saudi businessman Prince Alwaleed was SR88.8 billion.
