Faisal Alsayrafi, president and CEO of Financial Transaction House (FTH), told Arab News that big investors, brokers and ample available liquidity were behind this phenomenal rise in stock prices.

“I believe the announcements of yearly and fourth quarter results of various listed companies helped boost the stock market. As more companies announce their results, the stock market will continue to go up in the near future,” he added.

Shares of petrochemical giant Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC) rose slightly to SR1,660 as it posted a record profit of SR19.2 billion last year.
