RIYADH, 25 January 2006 — If you missed your December vacations this year, come to the International Philippine School in Riyadh (IPSR) to enjoy a celebration of different and exciting programs.

IPSR, which was founded in August 1985 as the first Filipino school in Riyadh, is celebrating its 20th anniversary — admittedly a bit late — in a week-long celebration that began Saturday.

In his congratulatory message, Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Bahnarim Guinomla said that the role of the community in national development is not measured fully by the results arising from its vision but also from the efforts that has produced the vision.

The ambassador also commended the reputation of the school and the achievement of its students.

“Over the years, IPSR has established an excellent reputation with first in a number of both academic and sports competitions” he said.

“More remarkably, many of its graduates are making their marks all over the world as well as here in the Kingdom.”
