RIYADH, 31 January 2006 — Etihad Etisalat (Mobily), which began operating as second mobile service company in Saudi Arabia at end of last May, announced fourth quarter financial results for 2005 showing operating income of SR1.05 billion, an increase of 83 percent from third quarter. Mobily also announced that the number of its customers by the end of 2005 reached 2.3 million. Total operating income for 2005 reached SR1.68 billion, 72 percent more than what was estimated. Operating profits in the fourth quarter increased by 147.8 percent compared to third quarter. Accumulated loss for the company by end of 2005 reached SR1 billion including fourth quarter losses of SR3 million only, SR162.6 million less than third quarter.
