MANAMA, 8 February 2006 — Medical professionals from across the Middle East are attending a major regional conference here, which will explore the latest advances in medical practice. Over 300 delegates are taking part in the 9th overseas meeting jointly organized by the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and Medical University of Bahrain at the Ritz Carlton Bahrain Hotel and Spa from March 13 to 15.
The event is being held with the full support of Sheikh Khalifa ibn Salman Al-Khalifa, prime minister of Bahrain and an honorary fellow of RCSI, and will feature over 80 speakers from the Middle East and Ireland covering fields such as trauma, nursing and midwifery, radiology, dentistry, surgery and others.
“Medical professionals are invited to attend the event, which will provide an excellent forum for the exchange of ideas,” said Michael Horgan, chief executive, Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland.
