JEDDAH, 17 February 2006 — Al-Ahli handed visiting Al- Qadisiya from Dammam an 82-65 drubbing last night in the Saudi Basketball League at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium here.

The American pair of Bobby Madison and Damon Forney shot 34 and 18 points as Ahli encountered little trouble against overmatched Qadisiya.

The victory was Ahli’s seventh in 10 games, while Qadisiya went down to their seventh defeat against three wins.

Qadisiya put up some semblance of a fight in the first quarter where they matched the hosts basket for basket. The period ended with Ahli up by only two baskets 24-20.

There was no looking back for Ahli after Madison teamed with Forney in a hot second quarter. Madison made 20 points in the first half and Forney 12.

Ahli then kept battering up in the third quarter to lead by as many 18 points at 66- 48. Greg Gray led Qadisiya with 23 points.

Ahli take on Khalig and Ittihad face Qadisiya in today’s games.
