BURAIDAH, 17 February 2006 — A 20-year-old bride ran away from her new husband on her wedding day, Al-Watan daily reported. She ran to her grandmother’s house. The reason? Her father was forcing the girl to marry a 63-year-old man. The father tried to encourage his daughter to go back to the hours-old marriage, but his mother, who had taken in her granddaughter, insisted that he annul the marriage.
