JEDDAH, 18 February 2006 — The Shoura Council has approved new fees for driver’s licenses, vehicle tags and title transfers, according to a report carried by Al-Jazirah daily yesterday.
The new annual fee for the registration of private cars and motorcycles is SR100; SR200 for private commercial vehicles, and SR400 for public buses and trucks.
Registration renewal fees will remain unchanged. Title transfer fee for private vehicles is SR150 and for taxis and other commercial vehicles, SR300. Driver’s license renewals are now set at SR40 annually for all vehicles except motorbikes, where the fee is SR20 per year.
