RIYADH, 20 February 2006 — Al-Hilal crushed Wehda of Makkah 4-0 in a Saudi Soccer League match on Saturday at Prince Faisal ibn Fahd stadium here.
With the win, Hilal remain at second place on 35 points as they continue to chase Al-Shabab at the top of the standings. Wehda are on 21 points in 7th position.
Al-Balawi Warning
JEDDAH, 20 February 2006 — Al-Ittihad club President Mansour Al-Balawi, unhappy about the dip in performance of his soccer team, has warned he will take action against poor-performing players .
Al-Balawi said the steady loss of points during matches should stop. He warned players not to ignore the training session and to come on time.
Sport Media Federation
RIYADH, 20 February 2006 — The General Presidency of Youth Welfare chairman Prince Sultan ibn Fahd issued an order to form a sport media federation as a way to improve the local sports coverage.
His deputy at the Youth Welfare, Prince Nawaf ibn Faisal, was named to head the media federation.
