JEDDAH, 21 February 2006 — Future TV held a press conference yesterday at the Hilton Hotel in Jeddah to congratulate Saudi singer Ibrahim Al-Hakami for being the first Saudi to win the Arab Superstar.

Roch Legault, Ford’s Saudi manager and sponsor of the program, also offered Al-Hakami the new Ford Focus 2006 as a prize for his achievements.

“The percentage of youth here under the age of 20 is almost 70 percent and we happily contributed to encourage them to bring out the best in them,” he said.

Al-Hakami thanked all the guests and said that he was blessed to have such generous fans to vote and motivate him.

“This was an excellent chance and I’m glad I took it. I’ve learned so much and commitment was on the top,” he said.

Now Al-Hakami’s future plans to work on inventing his own style by inserting some jazz and blues to his music. Also due to his capability of speaking Turkish and Urdu he is looking forward to participate in a song with Indian or Turkish singers.
