AMMAN, 21 February 2006 — Jordan’s Taameer, the country’s largest property firm, plans a 53 million dinars ($74.75 million) initial public offering to help finance projects worth hundreds of millions of dollars, a leading investor said yesterday. The founding members of Taameer are offering a 25 percent stake to Arab and local investors in the IPO which opens on Feb. 28, said Khaled Al-Dahleh, the vice chairman of the founders committee and a leading investor. The company was set up this year by a group of local businessmen, funds and Arab Gulf investors with 212 million dinars of capital.
