TAIF, 22 February 2006 — A father pardoned the killer of his son five days after he was killed, but insisted on the release of the killer before burying his son, Al-Watan daily reported. The father refused to release the body of his son from the morgue until the killer was freed from jail. The son died after a gun battle with the killer after they had a long argument. The father insisted that the killer be freed before he buries his son. The father of victim and the father of the killer are longtime friends and the victim’s father regarded the incident as destiny.
