JEDDAH, 25 February 2006 —  Ohod outscored Al-Ansar 74-67 in a see-saw match Wednesday night in Madinah. They are 1 and 1 against each other, but Ohod overtook Ansar in the standings at second place in the Saudi Basketball League.

Both clubs have 10-2 records with Ohod scoring more points. Ansar slipped into third with Al-Ahli in fourth place.

On Thursday night at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium here Al-Ittihad won their 12th straight game beating Al-Fatah 71-56. Al- Fatah suffered their 8th loss in a one sided match.

Ittihad got out to an early lead in the first period 17-10. At halftime Ittihad were up by 9 points, 33 -24. They kept the 9-point lead in the third period 45-36 then finished Al Fatah off by 15 points 71 –56.

Ali Magrabi led Ittihad with 22, and Steve Howard had 21. Jules Aw for Fatah had 24 points to take scoring honors.

Ahli defeated Wehda 85-62 in the second game Thursday.
