JEDDAH, 27 February 2006 — To honor World Civil Defense Day on March 1, the Ministry of Education started recently an awareness campaign in the Kingdom’s schools entitled “Civil Defense and the School.” “Arrangements were made so that each of the four supervision centers in Jeddah will be taking care of a specific safety topic,” said Najah Al-Akhtar, the director at the activities department for female students in the Western Region.
