JUBAIL, 5 March 2006 — Sharqiya Petrochemical is working on establishing a fiber optics factory in Jubail, reported Al-Eqtisadiah. The factory will have a total investment of SR400 million and production capacity of 60 thousand ton annually to cover local market demands. Fahd Al-Mubadil, superviser of development projects at the company, said that part of the production will be exported to neighboring and international markets.
80 Companies in Petroleum Exhibition
RIYADH, 5 March 2006 — More than 80 local, regional and international companies from 14 countries will be participating in the Saudi International Petroleum and Power Exhibition which starts on March 12, reported Al-Eqtisadiah. Sponsored by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, the exhibition is for four days and is being held in Riyadh for the first time.
