RIYADH, 9 March 2006 — Al-Nasr club has signed Portuguese coach George Arthur to a two-year contract worth $800,000. The coach met with the players and was present at the club to monitor the training. He will officially take over the team at the start of the next season.

JEDDAH — The Saudi soccer league continue today with two matches. Al-Ittihad host Al-Ittifaq at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium here and Al-Nasr entertain Qadisiya in Riyadh. Ittihad will be looking for three win points in hopes of narrowing the gap with second-ranked Al-Hilal. Ittifaq, Qadisiya and Nasr are all out of the running for the final four.
