RIYADH, 20 April 2006 — Prizes in kind worth a total of SR40,000 will be on offer when the Saudi French Bank (BSF) April Monthly Medal golf tournament tees off tomorrow at the Dirab Golf Club here.

The field of 100 players tees off shotgun style at 7:30 a.m. in the Stableford format event.

Handsome prizes are to be won from Ping drivers, wood and putters to return air ticket courtesy of Air France, which will be raffled off during the prize distribution ceremony.

Dirab Golf Club manager Bouchaib El Jadiani said giveaways of T-shirt, caps and logoed balls are to be given each player during the early morning registration. As usual, breakfast and lunch specially catered by French Corner will be served.

El Jadiani said VIPs from the sponsoring Saudi French Bank are coming to present the prizes. They are H. Parcevaux, Ravi Shinker and Sameh M. Abdelhadi.

In addition to the prizes for the category winners, there will also be awards for the longest drive and nearest to pin.

Since the beginning of the year, Dirab has been staging one big monthly medal after another in terms of prizes thanks to an aggressive marketing campaign launched by the Dirab Golf Committee chaired by Tom Matthews.

Like the past three monthlies, members of the Saudi national golf team are entered as part of their training.
