JEDDAH, 8 February 2007 — Abdul LatIf Jameel Co. Ltd., Toyota dealer in the Kingdom, announced that it will support and sponsor all the participants from Hail region who will drive Toyota Land Cruiser for the 2007 Hail Rally starting tomorrow.
Mohammad Bahassan, spokesman of Toyota, announced that the company assures its support and developing plans for youth programs and this support will make it one of the most successful agents in this championship discovering new champions in the world of motor sport.
In fact, Toyota has many programs that services youth in various directions. In the 2006 event the winners from the Hail region took home cash prizes. For this year the first place winner will receive SR50,000, the second and third place winners SR35,000 each. The winners from 4th to 10th will receive SR20,000 and from 11th to 20th SR10,000 SR. All competitors to drive Toyota Land cruiser will be each given an incentive cash of SR5,000.
Mohammad Bahassan, after the official announcing of drivers sponsorship program, expressed his happiness and is expecting good results since there are a lot of skillful drivers entered in the event.
“Toyota keenly followed the victories of those champions in the previous rally and their achievements duly noted. We found that it is necessary to support them in order to urge them to exert more efforts,” Bahassan said.
“The sponsorship of ALJ for motor sport in the Kingdom continued for more than 15 years for champions that participated outside the country in many races. Now they support champions inside the country in a big way.”
