JEDDAH, 9 July 2007 — Audiences in Jeddah cheered with their counterparts in Beirut and Casablanca as contestants competed for the ‘Arab Stars’ title during the final episode of “Album 2007” held on Friday night.
In the show, which was broadcast live on TV, contestants from the North Africa team earned the title of Arab Stars after being voted the best team during the last episode of MBC’s Album 2007 show.
The episode was broadcast live from Beirut with live cross-links from Jeddah and Casablanca where hundreds of fans gathered to support for their favorite teams. The final five contestants of the North Africa team were Egyptian Noorhan Ismail, Khaled Hassan from Sudan and three contestants all from Morocco — Mona Aamarsha, Mariam Hasbi and Abdulfattah Kreini. The last episode continued the show’s 13-week extravaganza of music and entertainment with standout performances by all the teams. Arab music superstars, Rashed Al-Majid and Nancy Ajram thrilled audiences with performances.
