ABHA, 22 February 2007 — The Filcomak (Filipino Community Abha Khamis) and OFWKF (Overseas Filipino Workers Karatedo Federation) launch their fund raising campaign dubbed OFW Sports Festival Assir Region Fiestalympic tomorrow at The Filipino Compound here.
Ed Reoma and Rey Dacpano alongside southern region organizations and clubs organized this event for the purpose of raising funds and mobilize relief goods to be sent to kabayans in Bicol region which had been devastated by typhoon Reming.
Everybody is invited and have a share to this noble project. There will be sports activities and tournaments in basketball, volleyball, badminton and table tennis, martial arts exhibition as well as bingo special, singing contests for all ages and parlor games. The program starts at 8 a.m. The whole-day event is the first of its kind in the region. In addition to food food stalls inside compound is also a raffle draw of prizes for the visitors.
