Mobily will be offering a new range of 3G Video solutions. The new services include Video Fun Calls, Video Blogging services and 3G Monitoring.

“With the increase in the number of our subscribers to more than 6 million and the subscriber base in Saudi continuing to grow, Mobily is seeking to provide our customers with a range of 3G services to meet the growing demand for high end technology,” said Ahmed Al-Hosani, Deputy Chief Marketing Officer, Mobily KSA.

HP has created a suite of innovative multimedia solutions for Mobily with the goal of stimulating 3G video usage for both businesses and consumers. The new 3G monitoring-system will allow subscribers to register their personal cameras, public cameras and TV channels through Web portals. Users then can call a short number and browse the service via an intuitive and interactive visual user interface using DTMF.

Additionally, Mobily’s customers can enjoy accessing, in a very simple manner, remote 3G cameras allowing them to monitor roads traffic status, offices, nurseries, shops, etc. For consumers looking for the fun side in their mobile phones, HP has also created services like Video Blog and Video Fun Call. Mobily’s customers will, through the Video Blogging service, be able to record and broadcast their personal videos to their favorite Blogs or share them with friends and family directly from their 3G phone. Video Fun Call allows users to send funny video clips to friends or family. Users simply dial a short number, then view and select the desired video clip from a list followed by the destination’s telephone number. “The messages are delivered either as video call, MMS, SMS or forwarded to the video mail box,” said Mahmoud Mounir, sales director — communication, media & entertainment, HP Middle East.

The cooperation between HP and Mobily comes as part of the efforts done by the two companies for delivering advanced hi-tech services and solutions to local customers. The two companies are also planning in the near future to introduce data warehousing and a preferred networks roaming solution.
