MAKKAH, 20 April 2007 — Two Saudis were arrested for posing as police officers and setting up their own checkpoint on a road near the holy city, the daily Al-Watan reported yesterday. A driver who had passed by the unofficial official checkpoint called police and alerted them. Apparently the two men weren’t convincing enough in their ruse for some people.
