JEDDAH, 27 April 2007 — The Consulate General of India will host its annual Mushaira 2007 at the International Indian School, Jeddah, auditorium at 9 p.m. on June 14.
Sixteen prominent poets from different parts of India are being invited for this mega-event. They include Rifat Sirosh, Shahid Mahuli, Tamanna Jamali (New Delhi), Akhtar Shajahanpuri, Muzaffar Razmi, Rasheed Ansari, Dr. Naseem Nikhat, Rafique Shadani (Uttar Pradesh), Mus’haf Iqbal Tausifi, Agha Sarosh, Dr. Farooq Shakeel (Andhra Pradesh), Mumtaz Rashid, Dr. Qasim Imam, Shafi Shaikh (Maharastra), Chandra Bhan “Khayal” (Madhya Pradesh) and Shehnaz Nabi (West Bengal).
The consulate will notify the procedure for mushaira passes in due course. The Mushaira will be repeated in Riyadh on June 21.
