DULM, 23 April 2007 — A young Saudi man was arrested at a checkpoint on the Riyadh to Taif highway trying to smuggle illegal maids into Jeddah. Police say that the man became confused when asked about the three women in his car. He first said they were his sisters and then said they were Indonesian maids that he was helping to enter Jeddah, Al-Jazirah daily reported.

BAHA, 23 April 2007 — An Egyptian doctor wanted by Interpol was arrested at a café in Baha. The man was being followed by police and will be extradited to Egypt to face charges there, Al-Riyadh daily reported.
Begging Gang Caught in Taif
TAIF, 23 April 2007 — A gang of Yemeni nationals was arrested for bringing children into the Kingdom from Yemen to beg. According to police, the gang would make agreements with the parents of the children to illegally bring them into the Kingdom, Al-Jazirah daily reported. Police said the gang would live in caves and mountainous areas outside Taif to evade authorities.
