CAIRO, 23 April 2007 — A 24-year-old Egyptian man was arrested in Cairo for handing out fliers advertising a rather unique proposition, local media reported yesterday. The man wanted a bride with her own apartment. The university student in his third year said he was tired of living with roommates in a cramped Cairo tenement, so he decided the best way to find a place to live on his budget was to find a sugar-mama willing to set him up in his own little Yacoubian building. The plan failed when police arrested him. It was unclear whether the charges were related to unlicensed fliers, or whether it had anything to do with what he was advertising.
