JEDDAH, 25 April 2007 — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah yesterday chaired a meeting of the Military Service Council at the Royal Court in Riyadh, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Crown Prince Sultan, deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, Prince Badr, deputy commander of the National Guard, Interior Minister Prince Naif, and Prince Muqrin, intelligence chief, and other top officials attended.
The agency did not report the resolutions adopted by the council. However, it pointed out that the council’s general secretariat had received instructions from the king to complete matters related to military officers without any delay.
Also yesterday, the king received Health Minister Dr. Hamad Al-Manie, his deputies and a group of children on the occasion of Saudi Arabia winning World Health Organization certificate for eradicating polio.
