JEDDAH, 3 May 2007 — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah yesterday held talks with Chadian President Idriss Deby on major regional and international issues. They also explored ways of strengthening relations between the two countries.
King Abdullah conferred on the Chadian president the King Abdul Aziz Medallion, the country’s top honor. Crown Prince Sultan, Prince Muqrin, chief of intelligence and Labor Minister Dr. Ghazi Al-Gosaibi attended the meeting, which was held at the king’s ranch in Janadriya, outside Riyadh.
Also yesterday, King Abdullah issued a royal decree renewing the membership of State Minister Dr. Matlab Al-Nafeesa, Finance Minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf, Commerce and Industry Minister Dr. Hashem Yamani, Economy and Planning Minister Khaled Al-Gosaibi and Dr. Abdullah Al-Rashed, president of King Khaled University, in the Civil Service Council for three years.
The king also appointed Labor Minister Dr. Ghazi Al-Gosaibi and Education Minister Dr. Abdullah Bin-Obaid as new members of the council for three years.
