RIYADH, 6 May 2007 — Four Seasons has embarked on an ambitious expansion program with 25 new properties including some new hotels currently being developed in Gulf states.
This expansion move coincides with several new promotional activities, planned in a number of Four Seasons Hotels across the Arab world including the local Four Seasons Hotel, where an authentic Indian food festival is currently ongoing.
“The popular poolside restaurant called The Grill-where guests can enjoy dining ‘al fresco’ — is now presenting Indian spice nights, following the official inauguration of the hotel’s new theme nights by M.O.H. Farooq, Indian ambassador, here yesterday,” said Tarek Bekhiet, director of marketing at the local Four Seasons. The inaugural function, which was also attended by local dignitaries and media persons was hosted by Thomas Lind, the hotel’s general manager. Referring to the expansion plan, Bekhiet said that “currently with 74 hotels in 31 countries, and more than 25 properties under development, Four Seasons will continue to lead the hospitality industry with innovative enhancements, making business travel easier and leisure travel more rewarding”.
Founded in 1960, Four Seasons has followed a targeted course of expansion, opening hotels in major city centers and desirable resort destinations around the world.
Bekhiet also noted that the Riyadh-based Four Seasons Hotel has become the most attractive destination for accommodation, dining and fun in the capital.
“The hotel has appointed Shadi Moeish as new director of rooms, who is all set to incorporate more ambience and beauty to the rooms of the hotel,” he said. With a five successful years of working experience at Four Seasons Hotel in Amman, Omeish is a seasoned hospitality industry veteran, who brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. At the beginning of his professional career, he was successful in working his way up through the ranks of the sales & marketing department of the Amman Marriott Hotel. Shadi went on to gain valuable regional work experience in his capacity as area manager for Marriott International for Saudi Arabia & Bahrain. Having made major strides in the Gulf region, Shadi was then called on in 2002 to play a pivotal role in the opening and positioning of Four Seasons’ third property in Jordan.
His recent promotion is a well-earned step forward that will allow him to further cement Four Seasons Riyadh’s position as the hotel of choice for discerning travelers in the Middle East.
Four Seasons is dedicated to perfecting the travel experience through continuous innovation and the highest standards. From elegant surroundings of the finest quality, to highly personalized 24-hour service, Four Seasons, Riyadh, embodies a true home away from home for those who know and appreciate the best.
