DUBAI, 8 May 2007 — Egyptian actor and UNICEF goodwill ambassador Mahmood Qabel, announced plans to begin shooting a movie that deals with the horrors of AIDS, DPA reported yesterday.

In a press conference here on Sunday, he said the cast of the movie, which is being financed by UNICEF, includes such stars as Yusra and Khaled Abul Naja.

The story revolves around a family affected by the dreaded ailment. Proceeds of the movie will be spent on programs to combat the virus. Qabel commended Arab governments for supporting UNICEF in fulfilling its humanitarian role particularly in Palestine, Lebanon and Sudan. But urged them to do more to support UNICEF projects in Africa.
