BAHA, 8 May 2007 — A 40-year-old woman who was talking on mobile phone during a thunderstorm was struck by lightning at Mishawka, 70 km north of Baha, on Sunday.

The woman, accompanied by her husband and children, had gone out picnicking in the hills, Al-Madinah newspaper reported yesterday. Unaware of the dangers of talking on phone during a thunderstorm, she began to call her friends when it started raining. A bolt of lightning struck her, killing her instantly.
