JEDDAH, 9 May 2007 — Saudi Arabian Airlines celebrated the successful completion by some of its employees of an IATA (the International Air Transport Association) training course in safety that meets international standards in air flying.

The training course, which was held at Saudia headquarters in Jeddah, has been conducted for the first time in the Middle East.

Director General of Saudi Arabian Airlines Khaled Al-Mulhem distributed the certificates to Saudia employees, who completed the course on the occasion. Al-Mulhem expressed thanks to the employees, who cooperated with the preparatory committee for the licensing of the course for the period of 2007-2009. Capt. Saad Al-Shehri also commended participants.

Faris Al-Karimi, one of those who underwent the course, said the training gave him and other participants motivation to double their efforts to maintain the competitiveness of Saudia.
