ISLAMABAD, 12 May 2007 — Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz said here yesterday that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoyed a strategic partnership. He was talking to Saudi Ambassador Ali Awadh Asseri who called on him and delivered a message from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah.
The prime minister said Pakistan and the Kingdom shared views on most global and regional issues.
He said the two countries were closely cooperating in political, diplomatic, religious, trade, economy and a host of other areas and they always stood by each other.
Ambassador Asseri appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to organize an OIC conference on refugees in the Muslim world scheduled in Islamabad next year.
