MADINAH, 13 May 2007 — The body of a Bangladeshi man, whose hands and legs had been tied, was found late on Friday in suspicious circumstances on Madinah’s Sultana Street.
Police are treating the death as murder and forensic teams could be seen on Saturday at the location gathering evidence and looking for clues leading to the man’s murderers.
A police spokesman said that the man had been badly beaten and that he had been stabbed multiple times all over his body, indicating that he was tortured before being killed.
The man worked as a security guard and lived in a room in the offices where his body was found. The owner of the office had repeatedly telephoned the office on Friday night. Having failed to receive an answer, the man arrived at the location, to find the body. The office door had been broken and the office had been smashed.
