JEDDAH, 16 May 2007 — Melvilasam or Address, a Malayalam play by renowned artist Soorya Krishnamoorthy, will be staged in Jeddah today, according to Soorya Sargam, a cultural organization of Indian expatriates in the Kingdom. It will also visit Riyadh on May 17 and Dammam on May 18, the organizers said. Melvilasam, which has been performed on more than 100 stages worldwide, is based on discrimination against the Dalits. It is conceived and directed by Krishnamoorthy. Krishnamoorthy and his team arrived here yesterday.
