RIYADH, 17 May 2007 — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah is leaving for Morocco on an official visit today, according to a statement issued by the Royal Court yesterday. “King Abdullah will leave for Morocco tomorrow accepting an official invitation from King Muhammad VI of the Kingdom of Morocco,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, following a royal approval the medical city in Makkah has been named the King Abdullah Medical City, Health Minister Hamad Al-Manie said yesterday.
Al-Noor Specialist Hospital, which is about one kilometer away, will be connected to the city by road, the minister said at a press briefing. With the addition of Al-Noor Hospital, the Makkah facility has become the largest medical city in the Kingdom.
