CAIRO, 23 May 2007 — Egyptian actress Yasmeen Abdul Al-Aziz was voted the “Most Beautiful Actress” in an opinion survey conducted by the Egyptian magazine Akhbar Al-Nujoom.

Mona Zaki was second and Ghada Adel came in third. Lebanese actress Noor came in forth, while Hanan Turk and Mai Ezzeddine tied for the fifth place in the contest, the results of which were announced on Monday.

Actor Kareem Abdul Aziz was voted as the “Most Handsome Actor” followed by Ahmad Ezz, Hani Salama and Khaled Abu Naja.

Yasmeen is preparing to star in director Samir Al-Jamal’s new movie “Bint Helwa.” She plays the lead role in the movie alongside Khaled Saleh, Zeena and Bashri.

Yasmeen began her career as a model for an advertising agency run by her mother. She later started acting in television and films. Her talent was widely appreciated with her role in the TV serial “Imra Min Zaman Al-Hobb”. She established a firm footing amidst Arab film stars in “Zaki Shan” with comedian Ahmad Hilmi, which was a big box-office hit.
