DUBAI, 24 May 2007 — The Dubai Ladies Club organized an exhibition for three Saudi fashion designers: Effa Al-Dabbagh, Nora Hefzi, and Amina Al-Jassim.

The two-day exhibition, held at the Dubai Ladies Club headquarters, ended yesterday. The event combined traditional and modern designs for Saudi jalabiyas, abayas and accessories, never seen before in the UAE.

Muna Bin Kalli, events manager at Dubai Ladies Club, said: “We were pleased to host this unique event which highlighted the talents of Saudi women. The show reflected the club’s dedication to providing an ideal platform to introduce the latest fashion trends to UAE women.”

The collection reflected quality workmanship, representing modern talent from Saudi Arabia, said Bin Kalli.

“The items have incorporated a modern finish to their works to satisfy different tastes as well as to reflect modern life in KSA,” she added.

Effa Al-Dabbagh said: “This exhibition introduced Saudi designs to UAE women who have a great passion to learn and appreciate original and modern styles. The positive feedback we have received for the show has been encouraging.”
