ABHA, 28 May 2007 — A Saudi wife who became fed up of her retired nagging husband, decided that the only way to silence and keep him occupied was to find him a second wife, the daily Al-Madinah reported yesterday. Not only was she successful in finding a bride but she also offered to provide the couple with a furnished apartment on the other side of town to ensure she gets some peace and quiet.
The ATM That Gave Out Fortunes
RIYADH, 28 May 2007 — After clearing out his account, a Saudi man was surprised when an ATM repeatedly showed that he had SR100 remaining in his account, the daily Al-Madinah reported yesterday. The man began to withdraw SR100 bills one after another until he had withdrawn money totaling to SR4,000. Feeling guilty, the man told the bank about the faulty machine and returned the money.
