RIYADH, 28 May 2007 — Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), received at his office Myriam Gretta, adviser in charge of Arab relations in the Central African Republic (CAR) and special envoy of CAR President Francois Bozize.
The KHC said in a statement yesterday that Gretta commended Alwaleed for his achievements on the economic and social fronts, noting his regional and global investments in the various sectors.
She also extended to Alwaleed a formal invitation from Bozize to visit the Central African Republic and "consider investment opportunities there."
In response, Alwaleed instructed KHC members to travel to Central Africa and study possible investment opportunities in the country in preparation for his future visit.
Stressing his strong relationship with the government and people of African countries, Alwaleed expressed "readiness to help the people of Central Africa in any way he can and consider projects that will benefit the country in the long term."
The meeting was attended by members of KHC, including Ahmad Altobaishi, executive assistant of Alwaleed, Nahla Alanbar, protocol department manager, Hassna Alturki, travel department manager and Rania Bajusair.
